The apartment is by the beach on the edge of Fuengirola (Mijas area, Costa del Sol), only 20 min from Malaga, easy connection directly from the airport (public transport, Bolt, Uber, rental).
Everything is within walking distance from the apartment: beach 2 min, promenade 4 min, Sohail Castle 3 min, shops and restaurants nearby 1-5 min, castle 4 min, biopark and aquapark 15 min, public transport stop 1 min.

What to do on site

Enjoy relaxation on the sunny beach with fine sand and refreshing sea, right at your fingertips. From the apartment, savor your morning coffee on the spacious terrace with a stunning view.

Airport Connection

  • Directly from the airport you can take the MetroTrain C1 for 2.70 EUR, get off at the final stop in Fuengirola. Then take Bus M-220 just 2 stops directly in front of the Apartment at the El Castillo bus stop for about 1.10 EUR.

  • or Bolt, Uber at the airport (about 26 EUR/ride, about 25 km)
  • or rental car at the airport (about 29 EUR/day incl. insurance)
  • or bus from the airport M-113 to Fuengirola, then bus M-220 (or walk, taxi)

Trips in the Area

There are plenty of places to visit in the area. The city itself also offers a lot. Fuengirola, a city on the Costa del Sol in Andalusia, has origins dating back to the Phoenician and Roman eras, when it was known as Suel. During Moorish rule, it was called Sohail, after the castle that still stands above the city. The current name Fuengirola comes from medieval Spanish and is probably related to fishing (fuente – spring, girola – carousel or circuit, which could refer to water mills or boat activities in the area).

  • Málaga and Benalmádena: same as from the airport here - just the other way around. Or go to the Miramar shopping center, take Bus No.1, and then from the center of Fuengirola take the C1 metro train to your destination.
  • Mijas: to the historic town of Mijas by bus M-220 to the center and then M-221 or 122
    (or walk along the promenade or taxi for about 8 EUR)
  • La Cala and Calahonda: Bus M-220 from the stop near the apartment
  • Marbella: popular resort, bus runs 2x per hour, journey takes 45 minutes and costs about 3.50 EUR, connection L60 from Rotonda Ford, which you reach by bus M-220 from the stop near the apartment
  • Estepona near Gibraltar: 5-7x per day, journey takes an hour and a quarter and costs about 6 EUR, connection L60 from Rotonda Ford, which you reach by bus M-220 from the stop near the apartment
  • Ronda: historic town known for its dramatic location on a cliff and the iconic Puente Nuevo bridge with amazing views. The city is the cradle of modern bullfighting and offers a rich history dating back to Roman and Moorish times, ranking among the most beautiful destinations in southern Spain.
